Notes

Melissa SLAUENWHITE is shown in the 1881 census as being age 17, yet the baptismal record At St. Mary's shows that she was baptised in Dec 1882. The explanation seems to be not that George and Letitia had two daughters named Melissa but that, in 1881, she and her family are listed as Church of England and so a Catholic baptism in 1882 would have been a conditional baptism.
