    • The Civil birth register contains the birth of Lucy, d/o Alfred and Susannah on 17 July 1871. But something is obvioulsy wrong here, as Susannah DOREY cannot have one child on 3 July and then another on 17 July. Unlike Lucy, who never again appears in any document, Rosanna has baptismal and death records.

      Also, the McCormick Darres papers list daughters Annie and Martha as children vi. and vii.; if Lucy were real, they would be children vii. and viii.

      So I believe Lucy is some sort of clerical error, rather than an actual child.
