  • Notes
    • He first appears in the 1871 Census of Bridgewater, NS, where he is living with David and Letitia HEBB. His relationship to them is not obvious and it would appear that he is either a servant or a boarder. He next appears when he marries Adelaide GARBER in 1879; at marriage his parents are recorded as "Ed. and Drusilla". However, there is no known FADER who marries a Drusilla, let alone one named Edward or Edmund.

What we do learn from his marriage record is that he was born at Chester, and by process of elimination, this would appear to place him as a descendant of Johann Adam FADER. One might argue that he obtained the FADER name by adoption; but if so, one would also think that he would appear somewhere with or near his adoptive parents.

The only FADER I can find who might possibly have been his father is Edmund Apollo FADER; however, his wife is still living when David is born. If Drusilla is actually a mistake for Julia, she seems a bit old to be having a child in 1857; but, Edmund Fader has a known child in 1858!

I have no idea what the true story behind David FADER is; however, for my purposes, he must be carried somewhere, and the best place I can find to put him seems to be with Edmund Appollo FADER. [Bob H]
