Notes |
- Louisa and Susan HICKS first appear, full-grown, as daughters in this family in the 1901 Census of NS; but there is an obvious conflict between Susan's DOB and the registered DOB of her brother Jesse. Also, the 1901 Census gives Louisa's DOB as 1870; however, she does not appear with her parents in the 1871 Census of Bridgetown. Now in the 1910 Census Eliza Ann HICKS reports that she has had 12 children, 10 of whom are living, and both Louisa and Susan are needed to make the count correct. Nonetheless, it seems possible that Louisa and Susan are not her biological daughters.
