  There is no proof that this Sarah Jane SLAUNWHITE is the wife of Dennis BROPHY. All that is known is that the mother of his children is given in the OLMC register as Sarah Jane SLAUNWHITE. There seem to be three possible candidates: a. Sarah J. [called Laura J. in 1881] , b. abt. 1873 d/o Thomas and Mary Elizabeth (Slaunwhite) SLAUNWHITE b. Sarah Jane, b. 6 Jun 1864, d/o John Fred. [Penny] and Mary Jane (Slaunwhite) SLAUNWHITE c. Sarah Jane, b. abt 3 Apr 1865, d/o Francis and Mary Ann (Hartlen) SLAUNWHITE Of these three, Sarah J. (a. above) has been attributed to Ephraim DRYSDALE (see notes for Sarah J. [Laura] SLAUNWHITE). Of the two remaining Sarah's, what evidence there is seems to point more towards the daughter of Francis and Mary Ann.
