- Samuel Frederick RAMEY m.1) Ann Abigail KOCH on 11 Mar 1854 and then m.2) Sarah Ann KELLY on 14 Dec 1858. The problem is that the only fact I can find on Mrs. RAMEY is that, at marriage, she resides at Upper LaHave. Since Ann Abigail 1834 dies unmarried in 1874, there are two Ann Abigail KOCH's this could be:
a. Ann Abigail b. 10 Sep 1819, d/o Johann Heinrich and Anna Magdalena MOSER) KOCH, who is only two years younger than Samuel
b. Ann Abigail b. 24 May 1838, believed to be d/o of Samuel and Lucy (HEBB) KOCH, who is also know to be born at Upper LaHave.
Ann Abigail 1819 is much closer to Samuel RAMEY's age. And although I think that Ann Abigail 1819 was born at or near Bridgewater rather than Upper LaHave, the term "Upper LaHave" sometimes meant "up the river a bit from Bridgewater". We do know, from her father's will, that Ann Abigail 1819 was alive and single in 1842.
The will of Ann Abigail 1838's father mentions all of his children except Ann Abigail, which is consistent with her marrying in 1854 and dying childless bef. 1858; but she also could have died single before 1870.
All in all, since Ann Abigail 1819 is approximately the same age as Samuel RAMEY and since we know that she was alive and single in 1842 while we don't know that the same is true for Ann Abigail 1838, Ann Abigail 1819 seems the most likely wife of Samuel RAMEY.
