Notes - In the 1901 Census Maud Blanche VERGE is a servant living with the family of Alonzo Havelock and Mary (McGILLIVARY) BOND and their seven children, all of Glace Bay, Cape Breton. Next, in the 1911 Census, Maude Blanche appears as the wife of said Alonzo and is living in Dartmouth along with their son Havelock, age 7. However, Alonzo and Blanche are not legally married until 1914, after wife Mary dies.
What is confusing is that, in the 1911 Census, first wife Mary is still living at Glace Bay with one of her sons is listed as Head of Household; but but she has had children in 1904, 1906 and 1908, i.e., after the birth of ALonzo and Balnche's son Havelock! Family sources state that Alonzo Havelock BOND was no doubt the father of these children. - In the 1901 Census Maud Blanche VERGE is a servant living with the family of Alonzo Havelock and Mary (McGILLIVARY) BOND and their seven children, all of Glace Bay, Cape Breton.
