  • Notes
    • The LWT of George Peter ZWICKER bequeaths a sum of money to "granddaughter Sarah ZWICKER". It can be proven that Sarah Ann BRUHM 1834, who married George ZWICKER, is not his person [she is not related], and we know that granddaughter Sarah ZWICKER was a witness to the wedding of another granddaughter mentioned in the will, Clara ZWICKER. In that will, Sarah's and Clara's bequests appear in the same sentence, and they are in that portion of the will dealing with instructions/bequests to son Jonas ZWICKER and his wife, Regina ARENBURG. So it would appear that Sarah and Clara are closely related to each other, as well as Jonas.

We know that Regina, wife of Jonas, first marries his brother John Peter in 1822, that Regina and and Peter have sons born 1824 and 1826, and that Peter dies in 1827. So the same reasoning that apples to daughter Clara (see her notes) applies here. And finally, we know that Jonas was not married to Regina in 1835 when their illegitimate daughter, Lucy Ann, was born. Thus, Sarah is carried here as d/o Jonas.
