Notes - The evidence that Muriel Mae SLAUNWHITE, d/o Hezekiah and Phoebe, is the same person as Muriel May SLAUNWHITE, wife of Arthur Blair is circumstantial and rests on the following:
a. She is the right age. Muriel Mae of Tancook is baptised in 1913; however, she is a Baptist and like her siblings would have been baptised as a teenager. since she is baptised in 1913, this puts her probable DOB somewhere around 1900 or just before.
b. She is the only known Muriel Mae SLAUNWHITE. There are other Muriel SLAUNWHITE's but they can easily be ruled out.
c. The wife of Arthur BLAIR spells her maiden name as SLAUNWHITE (the Tancook and Terence Bay spelling), vice SLAUENWHITE or SLAUGHENWHITE.
So I believe she is the right Muriel Mae. [Bob H]
