  A note from Barbara Kelly advises that a Violet SLAUNWHITE was taken in by a Murphy family in Halifax who became her guardians, that Violet's mother was named Emma, that Violet may have had a sister, and that nothing was known of her father except that he died in 1931 at age 22.
