  	There were two Fred CORKUM's of approximately the same age--Fred 1788 s/o Gottlieb and Fred 1789 s/o Peter--who married at about the same and both marriages were recorded ay DRL. In 1811, on Fred marries Magdalena LOWE, and in 1812, the other m. Elizabeth CONRAD; the problem is--who married who. In looking at it, the one thing that strikes me is that the family of the Fred CORKUM who m. Mary LOWE apparently lived in the Chester area as I have some number of their children as born and died there. That's of note beCAUSe I believe that the Chester area was where the parents and siblings of Fred 1789 lived as well. On the other hand, I also believe that Gottlieb CORKUM, father of Fred CORKUM 1788, lived with his children in New Dublin Twp, somewhere in the LaHave/New Dublin area, and the will of the Fred who m. Elizabeth CONRAD tells us that that's where they lived as well. So in the absence of more definitive evidence, my best guess is that Fred 1789 m. Magdalena LOWE.
