  The death certificate for Rupert VEINOT gives his parents as Elcany [VEINOT| and Betsy BERRY and it also gives his DOB as 19 Mar 1850 [as does the 1901 Census]. Elkanah and Caroline (MOSHER) VEINOT have a daughter Isabella b 19 Mar 1850 and her birth/baptism is recorded at SJAL while Rupert's is not. So either there is an otherwise unknown Elkanah VEINOT who has a relationship with a Betsy BERRY [probably Elizabeth BARRY] and the two children being born on the same day is a coincidence, or the mother's name on Rupert death certificate is mistaken. Given that one of the witnesses to his 1879 marriage to Alma Grace MILLS is a Clara VEINOT, and that Elkanah and Caroline have a known daughter named Clara, it appears most likely that Elkanah and Caroline are his parents.
