  Matthias Bruce MORRIS is proven [by his sister Elizabeth's death record] to be the son of Richard MORRIS. A marker in Linwood Cemetery, Antigonish. for Richard's son, William Henry also has an inscritpion reading "Rhody R. 04 Feb 1857 age 25 daughter of Richard and Margaret". Thus it would appear that Rhody is Matthias'sister, and that their mother is named Margaret. There is also a family legend [which seems to be substantiated by the census] that Matthias and Catherine (MOSHER) MORRIS removed from Manchester, Guysborough, to Cape Jack, Antigonish in order to take care of old uncle Irvin [from the 1881 Census this would appear to be Richard IRWIN]. Since Richard IRWIN has a sister named Margaret, it would appear that she is the wife of Richard MORRIS.
