    • She states that her marriages to George Murphy and Milton GATTIS were her first and second marriages respectively, but this does not appear to have been the case. Her 1900 marriage to Charles Williams was brief as the 1910 Census shows that second husband Robert MacDonald had been married for 8 years although Ida was not living with him and their two children. Third husband George Murphy quickly dies, and her fourth [1917] marriage, to Milton GATTIS, appears to have ended in divorce as he remarries in Feb 1920 [and states that it is his first marriage]. Ida then reverts to the CONRAD surname and registers for Social Security as Ida CONRAD in 1936.
