  There is no available hard evidence that the Caroline WHITMAN who marries Andrew HARDWICK at Annapolis Township is the Annabelle Caroline WHITMAN known to be the sister of William Henry and William Rufus WHITMAN. However, there are no known “Annapolis Valley WHITMANs”, i.e., descendants of Deacon John whom this could be. Also, William Henry and William Rufus both migrate to Annapolis. In addition, Caroline marries a HARDWICK as does William Henry. And finally, two of Caroline's children are named George and Rufus William. So the circumstantial evidence that they are the same person is compelling.
