  It is not certain that Peter MANUEL is the son of Peter MANUEL and Anna Catherine DAUPHINEE. There is no birth record and his age is not given in any records in which he appears except the census. On the one hand, his DOB is given as 1807 in the 1901 Census, 1811 in the 1871 Census and 1815 in the 1881 Census. Of these, the 1815 DOB is most consistent with the marriage of Peter and Anna Catherine MANUEL, if one assumes they are his parents. BeCAUSe his age is about right, beCAUSe he is in the right place at the right time, and beCAUSe he is named Peter, he will be carried here as the son of Peter and Anna Catherine until further evidence develops.
