  The 1901 Census has Laura as age 19, b. 08 May 1881, and the 1891 has her as age 10, but this does not appear be true. Her mother is bur. 3 May 1881, her father is a widower in the 1881 Census, and she does not appear in that Census. Further, Margaret Melinda (Noonan) HARNISH's obit carefully distinguishes between children and step-children and it has Laura as her daughter, not her step-daughter. Finally, Margaret Melinda is single, living with her family in 1881. These facts, taken together with the well-known fact that 1901 Census Dates of Birth were often off by exactly one year, lead me to conclude that Laura was probably b. 1882.
