  It is not certain who this Isaac Hubley's parents were. From various documents, we know that he was born 14 Feb 1838 at St. Margaret's Bay. We also know that his death record names his father as James HUBLEY and that since his wife was a native Alaskan, this info could only have come from him. There is some circumstantial evidence which points towards his being the son of James HUBLEY, b. 1812 and his first wife, Ellen [Nellie] BOUTILIER. Specifically, he has a daughter named Elena [Nellie], and he is a good fit in this family's birth order. Further, we know that when Nellie [BOUTILIER] dies in 1841, she leaves five children whose names were not recorded, and the fact that Isaac apparently knew his father's name but not his mother's, would seem to fit this picture.
