- An inscription on the back of Daniel's marker reads “Mary H., d. march 2, 1883, aged 40 years”. [Source: Lois Jenkins, “Hubley's of Annapolis County”, cited by Robert Crowther].
Some have suspected that this is a sister of Daniel named Mary, since Mary GREENLOW, his second wife, was believed to be age 29 at death. But given the inscription for Baby H also on the back oh his marker, this looks more like a wife than a sister. Also, Daniel already has a sister nmed Mary Ann. So I believe that this is Mary GREENLOW. [Bob H]
