- She is identified by a deed dated 2 Apr 1799 between George DAUPHINEE and his wife Sarah to Peter VEINOT conveys land “made over to us by our father Christopher Vienot” [Lunenburg County Deed #57, page 27, Vol #6 recorded 2 Sep 1807--transcribed by Brenda Maruca].
Further, this earlier deed, which names her mother, confirms her identity--”to George Dauphinee and Sarah Dauphinee. Sarah, daughter of Christopher and Catherine Vienot, 30 acres of their 300 acre lot, 1st Div, Letter A, #4 to George Dauphiney and wife Sarah”. [Lunenburg County Deed #61, Vol #5, recorded 9 Nov 1799--abstracted by Brenda Maruca].
By process of elimination, this also confirms the identity of the Sally VEINOT who marries James Christopher DAUPHINEE.
