  	Two different inscription surveys of the North West Cemetery (done about 20 years apart) list the date of death on his marker as 1886; however, he appears with his family in the 1891 Census. So, either the marker is wrongly inscribed or two differetn people have read 1896 as 1886; if the marker is weathered, the latter is understandable. In either event, since he appears in the 1891 census but not in the 1901, it seems most likely that he dies in 1896.
